Offender Employment Program
MontgomeryWorks, the County's one-stop employment center, has partnered with The
Montgomery County Department of Correction and Rehabilitation to create the
Offender Employment Project. The Offender Employment Project is funded
through a grant from the Governor's
Office of Crime Control and Prevention and focuses on Ex-offenders residing in
Hot Spot communities. |

The
Offender Employment Project (OEP) provides employment services to offenders,
increasing their opportunities for success as they transition into the
community.
The purpose of the
Offender Employment Program is to assist offenders:

Overcome
barriers to employment

Earn reasonable
incomes to support their families

Pay taxes
-
Contribute to
the economic and social well being of their community
The OEP Offers:
- Access to One-Stop resources
- Job readiness and retention
- Employment assistance
- Post-employment follow-up
- Employer incentives
- Other transitional services
